Salesforce to buy Tableau in all stock deal

This morning it was announced that Salesforce would be buying Tableau for $15.7B in all-deal. Tableau shareholders will get 1.103 Salesforce shares as part of the deal. The deal is expected to close in the third quarter of this year.

In pre-market trading this morning, Tableau (NYSE:DATA) is currently up to $169 a share from a previous close of $125 on Friday – representing a 35% increase. Salesforce is expected to increase revenue in 2020 by $400M per year due to the deal.
